How many meetings do you do per month?
I host two book club meetings and one event for Book Babes per month. Each book club meeting and event is unique. We discuss different books, try out different cafès and meet a new group of amazing women each time.
How do you prepare for the book club meeting?
Babe, all you have to do is pick up and read the thoughtfully selected book for the month and reserve your spot for the book club meeting/ event.
Where can I find an info which book I need to read to prepare?
You find all the information on here or on Instagram! The book of the month is revealed at the beginning of the month.
Where do you buy the book?
We buy most of our books at bookstores like Dussmann, Thalia or Hugendubel. Also, ordering the book off of Amazon would be a good idea.
I haven’t finished the book. Can I still join a book club meeting?
Yes, of course! You can obviously join if you are behind on your reading – life happens and we are simply excited to see you there.
It’s very important for you to know that anyone at any reading level is welcome. Therefore, the book club meeting is a safe space for us to connect over books we love. We as a group choose discussion questions, we find interesting. I try to include standard book discussion questions, book inspired-questions and some creative ones. However, none of them will be inspired by your English lit class, so you can join the conversation at any time.
Do you also do self-help/ personal development book topics?
I do believe that the stories we read and the amazing girls we meet give us a chance to learn and grow. Even though we don’t focus on self-help or personal development books, I have experienced that our book club meetings create a safe space that allows for moments of self-reflection and deep conversation.
